Check-Cashing Limitations

Effective January 2, 2012

Because of an alarming rise in check fraud, scams, and identity theft, LANCO will be placing limitations for member check-cashing on the following types of checks:

• Personal Checks
• Insurance Checks
• Checks that LANCO believes may not be collectible

The types of checks listed above may be cashed on accounts carrying a balance equal to or greater than the check amount. Check amounts exceeding the account balance will be deposited according to the Funds Availability Policy.
