Important! Technology Upgrade Scheduled
Lanco Federal Credit Union is nearing a major technology upgrade to our core processing system. We are excited about the many benefits this upgrade will bring, including improvements to behind-the-scenes processing, new and enhanced online and mobile services, and more.
It is important to us that this transition is a smooth one for you, which is why we ask that you please review the following information about what will be changing and what you can do to prepare.
Must-Know! Important Upgrade Details:
The Upgrade Period begins at 5:00 p.m. EST on January 30, 2018 and ends at 12:00 p.m. EST (Noon) on February 2, 2018. Lanco FCU will be closed during this time.
- During the Upgrade Period, access to your accounts will be very limited. Plan ahead to use cash or a credit card during the Upgrade Period. See “Visa Debit/ATM Cards” section for more information.
- Transaction history prior to February 1, 2018 will NOT be available after the system upgrade. History will only be available by statements. If you use accounting software such as Quicken or Money, be sure to download your transaction history from Online Banking before January 30, 2018.
- Direct deposits and automatic payments received after the start of the Upgrade Period will not post until the upgrade is complete. See “Direct Deposits and Automatic Payments” section for more information.
- Bill Payer will be unavailable beginning January 23, 2018 through February 2, 2018. See “Bill Payer” section for more information.
- The Monthly Qualification Cycle for Kasasa checking rewards is changing. Refer to the enclosed Truth-in-Savings Disclosure for details. To ensure that this upgrade does not negatively impact your qualifying activity, all Kasasa accounts will automatically qualify for rewards in January and February 2018.

Visa® Debit/ATM Cards
During the Upgrade Period, debit card transactions (including purchases and ATM withdrawals) will be limited to a total of $300 per day. Balance information will be unavailable during the Upgrade Period. It is important that you know your balance and record any debit card transactions that you make to avoid overdrafts and overdraft fees.
Direct Deposits and Automatic Payments
No direct deposits or automatic payments will be posted during the Upgrade Period. When the upgrade is complete, Lanco FCU will post all deposits first, then all automatic payments will be posted.
Gabby, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, and Mobile Check Deposit
These electronic services will be unavailable during the Upgrade Period. After the upgrade, you will be introduced to new and improved services which will require your re-enrollment.
During re-enrollment in these services, you will be asked to select new login information which may include usernames, passwords, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) security features, and/or PINs, depending on the service.
Important: Scheduled transfers previously set up through Online Banking will not occur after the system upgrade. You will need to re-establish scheduled transfers once enrolled in the new Online Banking.
Bill Payer will be unavailable after 5:00 p.m. EST, January 23, 2018. You will not have access to view, add, delete, or modify any payments. Lanco FCU will debut a new and improved Bill Payer on February 2, 2018. To re-enroll in the service, you will need to review and accept the new Bill Payer disclosure when you sign into Bill Payer for the first time.
Payees and recurring scheduled payments will carry forward into the new Bill Payer. Please review your payee information and scheduled payment details to ensure accuracy.
Important: If you have payments scheduled to be made January 30 through February 2, we strongly recommend that you change the scheduled payment date to occur prior to January 30. Otherwise, the payment may be delayed.
The following items will NOT carry forward into the new Bill Payer system. Please plan ahead and save or print any history which you may need to reference in the future: Bill Payment history and check images, E-Bill enrollments, Account to Account Transfer links and settings, Popmoney contacts and payment history.
E-Statements will not be available during the Upgrade Period. After the upgrade, the following statements will be available for all members enrolled in E-Statements: November 2017, December 2017, and January 2018.
Important: To retain copies of your statements prior to November 2017, you must save or print your E-Statements from Online Banking before 5:00 p.m. EST, January 30, 2018.
If you have automatic transfers scheduled to a loan or another account, scheduled transfers will now occur on the same date each month, even if that date falls on a Sunday or Federal holiday. For automatic transfers to an account, if funds are not available in your account on the date of the scheduled transfer, the transfer will not occur. For automatic transfers of loan payments, if funds are not available in your account on the date of the scheduled transfer, the transfer will occur on the next date where adequate funds become available.
Will my account number stay the same?
Yes, your Lanco FCU account number will remain the same.
However, Trailer numbers are changing to 4-digit Share or Loan IDs. Your new IDs will be 00 + your current trailer number. Examples: a checking account Trailer 91 will be Share ID 0091, a loan Trailer 22 will be Loan ID 0022.
Will I need new checks or debit cards?
No. Your current checks and debit cards will continue to work as usual after the upgrade.
Will the Upgrade Period affect my loan payment?
No. If you have an automatic loan payment scheduled or we receive your payment via mail or ACH during the Upgrade Period, your payment will be posted on February 2, 2018, effective the date that we received the payment.
