About LANCO Federal Credit Union

LANCO Federal Credit Union began as an idea when a group of teachers met in the fall of 1964, deciding to form a credit union for the employees of the county school districts. In February 1965, the LANCO School Employees Credit Union was chartered.

The credit union operated from the treasurer's home for the first ten years, moved to the back of a classroom in Hempfield High School, and in 1987, bought a small house on West Roseville Road. The present facility was constructed in 1996. Our Brownstown office opened in 1994 and 2000 marked the opening of our Mount Joy office. In July 2008, we opened our newly constructed office in Willow Street. In December 2009, we merged with Millersville FCU, which became our fifth branch.

LANCO Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution. This means that LANCO returns excess earnings to our members in the form of competitive dividend rates paid on savings accounts, competitive interest rates on loans, and the addition of valuable products and services.

The mission of LANCO Federal Credit Union is to provide comprehensive services in an environment that delivers innovative solutions to best satisfy our members’ financial needs.
