  • Part-Time Teller/Member Service Representative, Mount Joy Branch — 10-15 Hours/week
  • Collections Coordinator, Main Office

Part-Time Teller/Member Service Representative Job Description

The Teller/Member Service Representative will perform transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high degree of accuracy and maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.

This position is scheduled regularly Monday–Friday, with a Saturday rotation. Pay range starts at $11.50/hour.

Candidates should possess:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Courteous and friendly personality
  • Basic knowledge of financial products and services
  • Intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
  • Proficient PC skills; ability to learn Microsoft Office applications and additional software
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 35 pounds when moving cash drawer or coin bags
  • Banking or cash-handling experience preferred
  • Bilingual a plus

Collections Coordinator

Job Description

Answer phones, process correspondence and maintain accurate files for loan and Collection department. Contact member to determine the reason for the past-due condition of a loan, checking, savings account or Visa. Make recommendations on actions that should be taken if loan collateral is in jeopardy. Pay range starts at $16.50.

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and manage the credit unions’ negative Checking and Savings accounts. Mail appropriate letters to members and follow up with phone calls according to procedures.
  • Generate and monitor reports of delinquent loans and Visa accounts.
  • Process all correspondence for Collections department, ensuring accuracy of work and that credit union errors are detected promptly and corrected.
  • Maintain contact with members by mail and telephone regarding their delinquency, collecting payment whenever possible.
  • Work with members to develop loan workout plans aimed towards Lanco FCU receiving full payment as soon as possible.
  • Notify co-signers regarding status of delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain a detailed written record of all communications made regarding the delinquency.
